On 17 September 2025, the #PhDsEURail Project was presented at the Railway 200 event hosted by Aston University Engineering Academy. #PhD researcher Prachiti Shinde introduced her work on Next Generation #Education and Training Methods for #Rail. Her talk addressed the urgent challenges of an aging workforce, #skills shortages, and #digital transformation in the #railsector. Prachiti outlined her work on developing an #curriculum evaluation tool, designed to modernise rail higher #education programmes, align them with #industry needs, and prepare the next generation of rail #professionals in support of PhD’s EU-Rail’s mission to foster #innovation across Europe’s #railway system.
