At the end of November 2025, at the 6th International Conference on Reliability, Safety, and Security of Railway Systems (RSSRail 2025) in Pisa 🇮🇹, Getachew Hagos GELETA from Université Gustave Eiffel presented his paper titled “CPN-Based Modelling to Assess Dependability of Train-to-Train Wireless Communication for Virtual Coupling.”
His work, developed within the #Academics4Rail area “PhD4 Digital Communications for Virtual Coupling”, was awarded Best Student Paper🏆. This recognition highlights the crucial role that students and young talents play in shaping the future of #rail innovation.
🤝The Academics4Rail project fosters a stable and long-lasting scientific community, encouraging the exchange of knowledge with #EU_RAIL and The European Rail Research Advisory Council (ERRAC). From strategic level helping to optimise railway research programme to concrete technical domains, such as freight aerodynamics, electromagnetic compatibility, digital communications for virtual coupling, and AI-based driving assistance, the project actively supports the exploration of future #rail solutions.
